Preparation

  • Choose the location for your cabinet, ensuring it is level and has enough space for the doors to open fully without obstruction.
  • Use a stud finder to locate the wall studs where you'll be mounting the cabinet. This will ensure a secure installation. If studs are not available or if you prefer to mount the cabinet elsewhere, you may need to use wall anchors.

Mounting

  • Hold the cabinet in place against the wall, ensuring it is level.
  • If mounting into studs, align the mounting holes on the back of the cabinet with the studs. Drill pilot holes through the cabinet and into the studs, then secure the cabinet to the wall using screws.
  • If using wall anchors, drill pilot holes through the cabinet and into the wall at the desired mounting locations. Insert wall anchors into the pilot holes, then secure the cabinet to the wall using screws.

Leveling

  • Use a level to ensure the cabinet is perfectly horizontal.
  • Adjust as necessary by loosening the screws and shimming behind the cabinet until it is level.

Attaching Doors

  • If your cabinet doors are not pre-installed, follow the manufacturer's instructions to attach them to the cabinet frame.
  • Make sure the doors are aligned properly and open and close smoothly.
Final Checks
  • Double-check that the cabinet is securely attached to the wall and level.
  • Test the doors to ensure they open and close properly without any issues.

Finishing Touches

  • Once the cabinet is securely installed, you can organize and arrange your items inside it.
  • Clean up any debris from the installation process and enjoy your newly installed cabinet.
